You have two options available to you if you wish to purchase or sell analytical equipment using Caltest’s Free Classifieds Page,

1.If you wish to sell the equipment yourself, you can list your identity in the ad you place on Caltest’s Web Page.

Buyers can only purchase directly from the Seller if the Seller has identified himself in his advertisement.

2.You can use Caltest as your arbiter in the sale by agreeing to the terms below.

If Caltest Is Directly Involved With The Sale

Seller Agrees

1. Seller will ship instrument to Caltest, LLC (Caltest), or Caltest’s designated inspection center and repair shop, for inspection, testing and, if need be, repair.

2. Caltest’s designated inspection center and repair shop will notify Seller of approximate costs associated with any repair the equipment may need prior to beginning work repairing equipment.

3. Seller bears responsibility for all costs associated in (1) and (2) above.

4. If Seller does not wish equipment to be repaired, equipment will be returned to Seller with Seller being responsible for all costs associated with return of Seller’s equipment to Seller.

5. Seller agrees to not accept payment for equipment for 40 days after Buyer receives equipment.

6. Seller agrees to accept return of equipment from Caltest, for any reason, within the 40 days Buyer has had the equipment in their possession (Warranty).

7. Seller bears responsibility for all costs associated in (6) above.

8. If equipment is not returned to Seller within 40 days from the date Buyer received the equipment, Caltest will remit to the Seller, within 40 days after Buyer received the equipment, the agreed selling price for the equipment, minus any shipping and handling charges not previously remitted to Caltest by the Seller.

Buyer Agrees

1. Caltest will notify Buyer that it has equipment in its possession ready for delivery.

2. Buyer Agrees to remit to Caltest the agreed purchase price of the equipment prior to receiving the equipment.

3. Buyer must notify Caltest, by fax at (518) 899-0199 the day equipment is received.

4. Buyer can reject equipment, for any reason, up to 30 days of receipt of the equipment (Warranty).

5. If rejecting equipment, Caltest must receive equipment in its original shipping containers within 35 days from the date Buyer received equipment.

6. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs when returning equipment to Caltest.

7. When Caltest receives equipment, Caltest will refund to Buyer the total purchase price of the equipment within 15 days of receiving the equipment, minus any costs for replacing damaged or missing shipping containers.

List a "For Sale", "Wanted To Buy", or "Position Opening / Wanted" Ad

Customer is responsible to review the "Use of Caltest Classifieds" before placing an ad.

Listing should be for Near Infrared (NIR) related products and positions only. Caltest reserves the right to accept or reject listing that do not seem appropriate. Send your ad by e-mail to Caltest for listing. Included billing information (name,address and PO). Anonymous ads can be listed using Caltest as the "Email Box". Contact Caltest for details on anonymous ads.

Your ad should include a description of instrument (model number and manufacturer) or position and contact number (Email or phone). Please limit your ad to 300 words. You may attach a picture in JPEG format (.JPG). Limit the picture size to 50 KB.

Listing Fees (Fees are waived at this time)

The text Listing An Ad fee is $100 for a three (3) month listing. Listing with a picture is an additional $100.00 for the three (3) month listing.

Use of Classifieds

Caltest Classifieds is a service that promotes communications and exchanges among its users. The service has limits that you should understand. Caltest tries to limit the ads accepted to those related to the NEAR Infrared Industry.

Caltest's does not have any involvement in the completion of your transaction, including but not limited to any refunds or warranties offered. When you use Caltest Classified Ads you and the other person are completely responsible for working out the sale and exchange. Caltest does not have authority to act for either the buyer or seller. Since the transaction is between users, Caltest does not get involved if there is a dispute between the buyer and seller. Therefore, it is important that you use care throughout your dealings with other people in Caltest Classified Ads

CALTEST MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT (i) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (ii) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, (iii) THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, (iv) THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL PURCHASED OR OBTAINED BY YOU THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS, AND (V) ANY ERRORS IN THE LISTINGS WILL BE CORRECTED WHEN IDENTIFIED.

c. ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICE IS DONE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK AND THAT YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL.

d. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED BY YOU FROM YAHOO OR THROUGH OR FROM THE SERVICE SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT CALTEST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF CALTEST HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES), RESULTING FROM: (i) THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (ii) THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS AND SERVICES RESULTING FROM ANY GOODS, DATA, INFORMATION OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED OR MESSAGES RECEIVED OR TRANSACTIONS ENTERED INTO THROUGH OR FROM THE SERVICE; (iii) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA; (iv) STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; OR (v) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE.
